New ap coilovers for VW Passat Variant and Sedan (B8): Up to 60-millimeter lowering and sporty ride comfort

Depending on the engine and drive geometry, the suspensions offered with a parts certificate allow for a continuously variable lowering from 30 to 55 millimeters or 35 to 60 millimeters. In addition to the option of maximum lowering, the ap coilover suspensions give the VW Passat a sporty driving performance with comparative sufficient residual driving comfort.

The ap coilover suspension is available for the front-wheel-drive Passat sedan and Passat Variant (station wagon) with front-wheel drive. The approved adjustment range of the infinitely variable lowering for the front-wheel-drive sedan and Variant is 30 to 55 millimeters at the front and rear axle. Furthermore, the ap coilover suspension is also available for the Passat sedan with permanent all-wheel drive (4MOTION). According to the parts report, 35 to 60 millimeters are possible on both driven axles.

Since ap Sportfahrwerke coilovers are only available for the European market, the new ap coilover suspension is only available for the VW Passat models available in Europe. We have not developed ap coilovers for the Passat models offered by Volkswagen in Asia and North America, such as the Type 56 or NMS.

Because of the suspension design with sporty-dynamic spring rates and sporty-harmonic tuning with a maximum lowering, ap coilover suspensions allow a comparatively good driving comfort in their price range. KW automotive grants a two-year warranty on the coilovers of ap sport suspensions, if installed professionally as described in the enclosed parts report and installation instructions by professional car garages and workshops.
